THE UNINVITED - Anjana Shibish

THE UNINVITED

To the night that wrapped my body

My blood still curses you.

To the eyes that smiled at me

I hope tears find you.

And then slowly, the light left the room.

Lust was born.

Inhuman.

Derick once said, "ROSES NEVER BLEED."

But mine never stopped.

My blood fed him.

My breath,

his pleasure,

My breath,

my curse.

He wasn't welcomed.

I never called.

Still, he found his way.

Applause in hell

My flesh,

my bones,

Everything drowned in his sweat,

Once he was my warmth,

And now it's burning.

Down the hill,

I slided,

all alone,

last loneliness before leaving.

Just one thought in mind.

Who gave them permission?

If not me,

Then who?
